Field-tested. Problem-solver. Creative.

I have a passion for learning... about people, ideas, and organizations... and then creating things that bring that understanding to life. Whether it's a website, brand identity, poster, curriculum or something else, that's how I roll.

Let's chat, I'd love to learn about you and what you do and make the beauty of that come alive in print or online.

Experience

Soma Communities

In-house Director of Communications | 2008 - present
Starting from scratch in 2005, Soma has grown to a family of churches in several major US cities and has influenced many churches around the world toward a Jesus-centered way of life together. Throughout this time of rapid growth, I've designed and implemented websites, white papers, ministry tools and more used by thousands of people around the world.

Onedotsix, LLC

Principal for two-man freelance design shop | 2004 - 2008
In Onedotsix, I came alongside many small businesses, took the time to build a solid understanding of their vision, values and operations, and designed unique websites and branding strategies that fit each like a glove. I never needed to advertise, the work and the relationships I built spoke for themselves and we were soon having to turn away work.

Museum of Glass

In-house New Media Designer/Developer | 2004-2008
The iconic Museum of Glass is a world-class art museum where not only do you see finished artwork, but you get to watch the mesmerizing process of glassblowing. I led the web strategy and positioned the Museum far ahead of its peers in implementing new media initiatives including blogs, podcasts, web video, Flash applications, kiosks, accessible design and standards compliance.

International School of Caracas

Director of Technology, Web Developer, IT Teacher | 2000 - 2004
As an international school enrolling primarily expatriates, the website was the first impression of the school for nearly everyone. I redesigned the site with a focus on the real people coming to use it and saw a significant increase in enrollment applications. I also oversaw a $100,000+ budget, 200+ workstations, 3 technicians and 2 teachers, making critical decisions to move the school forward in IT.
